The Cancun Resort For The Classy But Hip Traveler

This relaxing Mexican Resort is adult only. As someone without kids, this is kind of amazing and worth noting first and foremost. When the kids are away, this is a great place for mom and dad to play (or, you know, the non-kid friends like me.) The Live Aqua Cancun Resort offers so much to do as well; a relaxing spa, a culinary journey providing fresh seafood, steak by a five-star restaurant, golf and beach adventures nearby, and the much needed pool relaxation moments.

With 371 newly remodeled rooms, it’s easy to unwind in the luxury of choices. An aromatherapy menu with ideal essences that allow you to pick between their Relax, Tranquillity, Aqua, Romance and Energy fragrances, keeps your room unique to you. Though rest assured, you really can’t go wrong with any room or fragrance here. Their lighting is adjustable, another choice you get to make, with automated curtains that allow guests to see the beautiful sunrise over the turquoise blue waters of the Mexican Caribbean. Simply push the button next to your bed and you’re transported to paradise. It was the BEST way to wake up.

Top-tier pampering in each room as well. The handwritten and custom Welcome sign on the window was a very personal touch, the sound healing and sand garden placed by the bed each night a perfect way to unwind, and the delicious display on my table was amazing. It was the most personalized and serene room I have ever been in.

You can relax in the rooms or at the spa. I recommend the 6 step hydrotherapy session and massage with honey rub. But when you’re done relaxing, take advantage of their private classes and entertainment. I took part in a mixology lesson, a meditation morning class, and hat painting class. You can also partake in morning yoga, volleyball or beach games, dance classes, or a wide range of adventures near the resort as well like AquaWorld with snorkeling and explorations of the Mayan Ruins.

Highlighting the food for a moment because it was second to none. I feel healthier after staying here; the ingredients at every location were so fresh. The food was all cooked to perfection, they took our allergies very seriously, and the Pina coladas never stopped flowing. If you are a foodie, this is a must visit resort. One of the coolest parts is your Starbucks coffee is included. Imagine walking up to a Starbucks, ordering, then walking away. It felt so rebellious not having to pull out the wallet when a coffee in the States can be $6+

The Live Aqua Cancun stands out as one of the most acclaimed resorts in Cancun. It is recognized with Blue Flag certifications for its pristine beach with numerous TripAdvisor Excellence awards. Easily one of the top ten adult only resorts in the area. Both by many other sources, and by me. This was by far, the coolest resort I have visited YET. Perfect location for young couples, older couples with energy, single women -I would have felt very safe alone- and every adult in between. If you’re into taking photos, I will likely be posting a “where to take instagrammable photos” video soon because this place was incredibly photographic with swings, multiple pools, cabanas, wings, and the every famous ocean views.

If you’re looking to snag a deal, I recommend reaching out to your local travel advisor as well. Travel advisors are privy to discounts and savings many people aren’t. Either way, you’re sure to have a pretty awesome experience staying at the Live Aqua Cancun
