Shoutout to the dating apps.
Ladies and gentlemen. They work. I was recently single. And my better half, Chase was…not looking for anything. Yet somehow we found ourselves in Boston, single, and on “Hinge.” A dating app where you pre-judge people like heathens.
I went on 7 dates in 5 days. The philosophy was to “forget the ex” and maybe have a bite to eat. Chase never logged into the app and was already married to the most demanding wife ever. His job.
As it happens, my 7th date of the week cancelled. But that couldn’t be! Any girl will know once the hair is done and the makeup is on, something must go down. Texting the first 3 guys in my lineup, Chase happened to login for the first time in weeks at the same moment. And was the first to reply.

We met an hour later, not knowing anything about one another, on a cold Sunday morning in Boston at a tiny cafe called Tatte. Walked for 3 hours. And have been pretty much inseparable since.
Long story short, we left Boston mid-covid and moved to Greenville, South Carolina. I tried to convince Chase to move to my home state of Minnesota. He wasn’t having it. Still have no idea why. The guy turns the air conditioning on when it’s snowing.
The plan is to get married, have a few kids, travel the world, build our businesses, impact our environment for the better, and generally just be good people to each other and to others.

We believe love is an ever-growing project. Not something to achieve one day as a goal, but as a journey constantly lived. Our promise to each other is to continue this adventure hand-in-hand, through the good and bad. As our family, and friends -yes even the guy following this blog page- we ask that you hold us accountable to this. Remind us that through God all is possible, and with each other, we can conquer the world.
Thank you for being by our sides during this new chapter in our lives.
I would love to hear YOUR love story, let’s connect on instagram.
